We decided to dust off our hiking boots this weekend - it’s been a few months since we’ve hit the trails and Mike and I both needed a change in scenery. We decided to head our for Pinnacle Lake on the Mountain Loop Highway.
The forrest road to the trail was very long and VERY potholey, we were thankful to be in an off-road vehicle. Once we arrived there weren’t many cars and we only saw 6 or so people on the trail itself. I found it very quiet and serene to be out there in the quiet of the forrest.
There was snow near the top of the hike and Boo absolutely LOVED it, she rolls around in it like a happy pup! She must miss Chicago winters maybe? Too bad we don’t! :)
There were 3 lakes that were consecutively larger. It was cool to see them beginning to ice over for winter. We had our ‘summit’ Rainier Beer at the top, then slowly made our way back down.
