Fall is descending on the PNW, which means rain, mist and a chill in the air. We wanted to get an easy late-season hike in over the weekend. Wallace Falls had been on my list for a while, but it's a very well known site for crowds because it's 1.5hrs from Seattle and a great day hike for anyone in the city. It's a good choice for a cold rainy day, it was quiet on the trails for us, just a few fellow hikers along the way.
As we started the hike we found ourselves surrounded with giant orange and golden leaves all over the forest floor. Once we arrived at the falls we had a beautiful surprise - half way up trees were iced with snow. I highly recommend doing this hike in late Fall, it's definitely worth the wait!
