It was our favorite campground of the trip. The Current river ran adjacent to the campsites and seemed to be a launching point for float trips (tubing and canoeing/kayaking). There were a few groups that pushed off for afternoon floats, but once they were gone we were the only car camping in the 7 sites available (it was a Sunday night though!).
What a treat to be right on the river; we were able to cool off in the waters after a hot day of driving. We only wish we had brought our fishing poles to catch dinner with! Next time!
We dined on Spaghetti with Goat Cheese and sausage (well brats anyway!) mixed in. It was a really satisfying meal. Marty snuggled up to our boxed wine (don't worry, he doesn't drink it!). It was great to have on the road though because it was 3 bottles worth, doesn't need refrigeration and fits perfectly on our shelves :)
We also got our cribbage game going, then hung out on the river until the stars came out.
